Tagra Golf Simulator Lighting Kit – RGB COB

A complete, ready-to-install colour-changing lighting kit for your golf simulator room. Strip, driver, controller, remote and cable all arrive together, matched and guaranteed to work as a system – no sourcing compatible parts yourself, and no guesswork over driver sizing.

This is where COB technology really earns its place. Traditional SMD RGB tape puts individual coloured diodes at intervals along the strip, so at close range you see a row of separate dots and, worse, visible colour fringing where red, green and blue have not yet blended. Chip-on-Board places the LEDs under a continuous phosphor coating, producing one smooth, unbroken line of colour from end to end.

Why Buy the Complete Kit?

Colour-changing strip is far less forgiving than plain white. It draws considerably more power, it needs a multi-channel controller matched to the strip type, and it needs cable with a core for every channel. Mix and match those parts from different places and the usual result is a strip that will not colour-match along its length, or a driver working far too close to its limit.

Every component in this kit is specified for the run length you choose, so it works properly from the moment it is powered up.

Choosing Your Length

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose RGB or RGBW?
Choose RGB if the lighting is purely for atmosphere – colour washes behind the screen, around the ceiling, or to set a mood while you play. RGB can produce a white by mixing red, green and blue, but it is an approximation and tends to look slightly off. If you want colour and a proper, clean white light you can actually light the room with, go for the RGBW kit, which adds a dedicated white channel.
Do I need to buy anything else?
No. The kit includes the strip, a correctly rated driver, the multi-channel controller, the remote and the 4-core low voltage cable. The only decision left is whether to add the aluminium channel and diffuser, which you select above.
Do I need the aluminium profile?
It is optional, but we recommend it – and more so on colour strip than white. The diffuser blends the colour output, the channel draws heat away from the strip, and the whole run looks like a designed feature rather than a length of tape stuck to a wall. If the strip is hidden inside a coving or behind a pelmet, you can go without.
Will coloured lighting affect my launch monitor?
Camera-based launch monitors track best under consistent, neutral light. Strong colour washing directly across the hitting zone is not ideal while you are recording shots. In practice most people run the colour as an ambient feature on the walls and ceiling, and switch to white light over the hitting area. If you want both from one strip, the RGBW kit is the better choice.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes. The included Tagra 5-in-1 controller supports both RF 2.4GHz and Wi-Fi, so you can use the supplied 4-zone remote or control colours, scenes and effects from the app.
